Further evolution on the rise for Downtown Brooklyn

It looks as though Brooklyn is not only one of the most ideal places to live in New York City, but now it is also becoming a sought out destination for business owners to want to further expand and grow their businesses with Brooklyn’s city-owned real estate. According to Crain’s New York –  Downtown Brooklyn will now be getting a candy shop/cafĂ© and casual new eatery by the fall of 2012. What does this mean for the residents of the Downtown Brooklyn area? A better chance at working together while generating more employment activity in Brooklyn’s very own Adams street restaurant row.

“ We have looked at the market carefully and decided that Brooklyn was the perfect location to expand Sugar and Plumm, and to launch American BBQ and Beer Co. We strongly believe that Brooklyn is the place to be. – Lamia Jacobs, President and CEO of Sugar and Plumm “

“ Its people and the city’s commitment to elevating its entertainment experience make Brooklyn an ideal destination for us. – Mark Advent, Las Vegas International developer and President of American BBQ and Beer Co. “

" Brooklyn. A tree grows there. The County of Kings. The Brooklyn Bridge. Coney Island. The Brooklyn Dodgers. Moonstruck. These images are inextricably linked with New York City’s most populous borough and show its storied past.

Brooklyn is a living, breathing entity gaining accolades all its own; particularly its real estate. Investors and home buyers the city over have gotten hip to Brooklyn’s tree-lined streets, grand brownstones and ocean views. They’ve gotten hip to views of the Statue of Liberty, the city’s hottest restaurants, and an unparalleled music and arts scene. And of course, being able to park a car while still having easy access to public transit.

From Greenpoint to Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn has real estate to appeal to every need: converted industrial lofts in Bushwick and Gowanus, breathtaking homes near the ocean in Gravesend and Mill Basin and classic brownstones in Bed-Stuy and Park Slope. Singles, young couples and established families can all find a place to call home in Brooklyn. After all, the borough has a tradition in this regard. The village of Breukelen has been beckoning newcomers since 1646. "

The Brooklyn bridge is one of New York’s most famous landmarks linking Manhattan island with Brooklyn.
